Moondaughter by Tree Talker
I am so grateful for all the beautiful souls I meet through the blogging/online community. Rachael Tree Talker painted my portrait above and it is just so so beautiful! I asked for some pretty specific things too; a sunset in the desert with the moon rising, me with feathers in my ombre hair and holding a crystal. Rachael completely blew me away and took everything I said into account! She is so talented!
In my portrait, I love the play on the dark and light aspects - embracing my shadow with my light. But also I love the delicate feminine energy mixed with the red, vibrant, fiery colors. I am a Sagittarius, so it's pretty perfect (she didn't know!). I tend to live in my moon energy so much, I forget about my sun! I am very fiery and sassy when I need to be though and I am proud of it! Wearing red is something I usually never do, but this reminds me of my seriously ungrounded root chakra (again she chose this herself). I really love this new take on Moondaughter. You need to see more of work over here!
And of course, I really miss Arizona. I love that I am standing in the desert under a full moon charging my quartz. I will be doing that soon too! We will be taking a week's vacation to Sedona/Flagstaff and just an awesome road trip up to northern AZ in early May. We are waiting on this awesome rental we are hoping to get for the week, I am super excited! AND I found an awesome groupon on a Jeep tour around Sedona to the different sacred sites and vortexes! It is going to be amazing.
March and April have been very very hard on my body, mind, spirit, my relationship with Jimmy, and just overall life. It will be nice to get away for a bit. So I have a lot to do before it all happens! For now I will stare into my painting and imagine I am there already. Sigh. Love you Rachael.
