How are you Moonbeams? I never give my blog enough love. And these past two weeks have been no different. I feel like I am always in a blur these days... So many things to do, so little time to do them. I forget to breathe, I forget to eat, I forget to connect. I get lost in my thoughts, my should's, my daydreams.

I have to admit too, that I am a very very very cluttered and messy person. A long time ago I read a relationship book while I was going through a bad break-up and the only thing I remember from this book is "Messy bed.. Messy head." And that is definitely the state I am in right now. I feel completely scattered in my life right now because my place is a total disaster. It has been causing stress on my relationship with Jimmy too. And with our opposite work schedules it is hard to clean when one of us is tired or away. And I would rather be spending time with him when we can instead of cleaning. BLAGH. The picture above of my little boho sitting area? That lasted about 20 minutes... I don't know how it happens but I am always messy and cluttered. I would blame it on house fairies up to mischief, but it really is me going through creative projects and never cleaning up. Or being lazy and not putting clothes away. Yada yada yada.

I would love to know how you guys stay on top of your messes? Do you have routines? I smudged my place last night which really helps, but it doesn't clean up the mess! Anyway please leave any advice in the comments! I would love that!

In other news, I made a sea salt spray for your hair On the Bohemian Collective as part of the Chakra Beauty Series for the Solar Chakra. I am really happy how it came out! It works really good even for my long and really heavy hair! And the second magazine is coming out on May 1st, Beltane! It is so so beautiful! I am so honored to have 2 articles in it! They are short and sweet, but the rest of magazine is gorgeous too! I can't wait to get it in my hands!

I also want to say thank you for everyone's support during my Earth Day sale in my Etsy shop! Not only did I donate a portion of sales to Oceana to protect our precious waters, but I also donated to Red Cross for the Nepal Earthquake Relief. Click these links to donate! Even if you cannot donate, please light a candle and send your prayers to those in Nepal. It is completely devastating, but I so grateful the world is coming together to help those in need.

Stone Medicine: Earth Day

Happy Earth Day Moon Beams!

I thought it would be fun to share with you some ways  to work with your crystals today and give back to Mother Earth!

The power of crystals lie deep in the heart of Mother Earth. To hold them, to carry them, to use them for healing and the highest good is to honor Gaia. It is sacred work. I believe it also heals our connection with Nature.

Create A Crystal Stonehenge

Go out into nature, and place a circle of stones for the land. These stones should have a special meaning to you and be an offering from the heart. In the center you can leave an offering of food or seeds for the animals, plant a tree or a native plant in the circle, leave an offering of flowers, or a bundle of herbs. Whatever feels fitting to you. Give your thanks to the land you live on and leave this beautiful offering behind. The crystals will be picked up by animals or humans who need them next!

Crystal Gardening

Set up crystals or plant crystals in your garden! You can even place the crystals in one section in your garden - think of it as a playground for the fairies and gnomes! Rose quartz nourishes Roses and flowering plants, bury Green Moss agate or Red jasper into the soil to nourish the roots of the plants, and Clear quartz may speed up growth and harvest time! You can place crystals in your fountains or bird baths to infuse their water with higher vibrations. Your garden will be enchanting!

Infused Water

Speaking of water, put Citrine or Clear quartz in your watering can and let this potent essence nourish your plants! If you want more Yin, or feminine energy infused into your plants, add Ocean Jasper to the mix!

Indoor Flower Grids

Bring the vibrant energy of Mother Earth into your home. Place a bouquet of flowers on your kitchen table, or your hearth - the heart and warmth of your home, wherever that may be in your home. Surround the vase with crystals to invite specific energy into your home. Surrounding my Sunflowers are Citrine and Clear quartz to bring in more energy and positivity. Your flowers may last longer too!

I hope these ideas have helped inspire ways for you to honor Earth today and everyday! There is so much more coming to this space! I can't wait to share it all with you!

Earth Day Sale All Week!

Use the code EARTH for 30% off in my Etsy Shop! A portion of Earth Day sales will be donated to Oceana to protect our oceans and sea creatures!

Crystal Power and Giveaway Winner

These are a few pictures from my photo shoot with Katelyn a couple weeks back. Oh how I wished we lived closer! I miss her so much! It feels so good to know I have kindred sisters out there even if they live states apart. I'll take our deep texting convos about Charmed episodes any day! I love you Katelyn! I can't wait to show you all the rest of the pictures when they are ready. It was such a magical day romping in nature, finding vines to get tangled into, climbing up steep hillsides in sandals to capture the last rays of the sun. Constantly laughing and giggling like young maidens. Sigh.

In the pictures I am holding my very special Smoky Quartz generator that I got in Sedona.  As much as I love Moonstone, Smoky will always have a special place in my heart. Whenever I hold a Smoky Quartz, I just feel like I return to myself. I remember the deeper, wiser me if that makes sense. Smoky completely shifts my aura. Do any crystals do that for you?

The power of crystals lie deep in the heart of Mother Earth. To hold them, to carry them, to use them for healing and the highest good is to honor Gaia. It is sacred work. I believe it also heals our connection with Nature. The first time I went to Sedona and purchased my first few crystals I had no idea what laid before me. Each crystal I have collected since reminds me of a time elsewhere, either in a past life or different dimension, I am not sure. I just know I always want to feel this connection to the crystal realm. I am honored to share their stories and wisdom with others.

The next Moon cycle, Planting Moon,  is coming up... On the new moon April 18th I will be guiding my first live workshop: Crystal Energy at Unfold Yoga. This is such a dream come true for me. And this is only the beginning! If you are in Southern California, I would love for you to gather with us! Bring your crystals, learn about their energy, and connect to their healing power. You can sign up over here.

GIVEAWAY: Fractal Lotus Handmade Moon Banner!

Name: Kailani Gorman

Shop: www.Etsy.com/shop/fractallotus, Instagram: Fractallotus

Tell us about yourself:
I’m passionate about living sustainably and using my creative expression to bring a little more magic and sacred energy into day to day life. I was born in the New Mexico desert, but moved to Hawai’i when I was 17 to live in some off-the-grid communities and I fell in love with working on the land and growing plants as food and medicine! I completed a Permaculture Design Course there and since then I’ve been immersed in studying herbalism, permaculture, beekeeping, etc! Throughout that time I’ve also been exploring my artistic offerings and have been deeply inspired by sacred geometry and indigenous art. I’ve been selling my art for 3 years now and I’m so excited to see where it takes me!

What are your offerings?
I’m currently offering my handmade chakra flags, moon phase flags, prints of my chakra paintings, lots of patches (embroidered and printed), palo santo bundles, beautiful labradorite pieces and a couple of original paintings. Everything that’s in my etsy shop is offered with the intent to bring more beauty and magic to you and your life and I make sure to infuse everything with lots of love!

I am also working on launching my blog in the next month or so, which will be a mixture of information about botanical skin care, herbalism and plant allies, permaculture as a spiritual practice, and so much more!

What is your favorite season?
Summer is definitely my favorite season. There is such a carefree and abundant vibe in the air - plants are flowering, forests are lush, there are lots of festivals and gatherings and I feel like everyone is celebrating!

What makes your spirit buzz?
Swimming in the ocean, being immersed in wild nature, being drenched in sunlight and paying attention to magical little synchronicities that happen every day :)

What is your relationship with the moon?
The moon reminds me to connect with my feminine energy and to embrace darkness. On the new moon I focus on purifying and clarifying my intentions and on the full moon I focus on gratitude and abundance!

Your favorite motto/quote:
“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles. Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood. This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done. By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”
― Terence McKenna

What's on your altar right now?
I’m playing with the concept that I am an altar! Its so easy for me to get wrapped up in my creative process and completely forget about my physical wellbeing, so I am working on mindfully adorning and cherishing my physical self.

I also love creating little altars and offerings everywhere I go, when outside I make small nature mandalas and indoors my altars are usually a collection of my favorite crystals, feathers and herbal medicines :)

Favorite spiritual books?
Sacred Plant Medicine by Stephen Buhner and Creating On Purpose by Anodea Judith
